A Hub Flush Customer Testimonial
“After one seasons use of my new boat and trailer, little did I know the hassle the trailer hubs and brakes would give me. I decided to check and adjust the brakes ready for the new season only to find that most of the parts, brake shoes, adjusters and springs were scrap. The trailer manufacturer was no help, the hub/brake parts are not covered for salt-water damage. Renewing the parts cost £180 and that was with me carrying out the work myself.”
“I didn’t want this every year and realised that the hubs needed washing out after every launch/recovery to preserve the parts. I then saw “Hub Flush”. It was just what was needed to get the damaging salt residue from out of the brakes and hubs. The kit was easy to fit except for drilling the back plates to accept the nozzles. The remaining plumbing is easy with push on quick fittings.”
“I kept this boat a further two seasons and when I serviced the brakes before I sold it there were no issues with any of the brake parts. “
“Hub Flush had saved me a fortune in cash and time. I was so pleased with the performance, the first item on my shopping list for my new boat and trailer was a 4 wheel hub flush kit.”

We have been sponsoring the team of young designers at Selby Park school, providing them with glass and kevlar fiber composite technology supplies and advice on mold plug techniques to help them reduce the weight of their racing car.
Credit to them for designing and building a winning car and we look forward to helping them with their title defense next year.

No commentsCompliments To West Water Yacht Sales
I would like to thank John Archer, Senior Yacht Broker for West Water Yacht Sales, for his generous help, time and friendly service.
Whilst collecting a Southerly 110 yacht for one of our customer’s for delivery from their base at Walton on the Naze in Essex, he gave up much of his valuable time to help us solve a number of problems.
I would highly recommend West Water Yacht Sales simply for their level of customer service. Thank you John.

No commentsWorking In St Lucia
We have spent three months working on a contract on the island of St Lucia out in the Caribbean.
We were initially asked to deliver the 39 foot yacht Innuendo from St Lucia to Norway, but unfortunately on arrival in St Lucia, we found the yacht was in no fit state to make an Atlantic crossing.

We were asked by the owner to make the necessary repairs to the yacht so that it would be able to make the crossing.
This included:
Inspecting the keel bolts
Replacing the entire electrical system
Replacing all the running rigging
Repairs to the engine gearbox
Replacing the fresh water system with new pipework
Repairing the companion way steps
Installing a new SSB radio and autopilot system

Unfortunately, after all our hard work, we only managed to sail a couple of test sail trips down the coast and back.
The repairs had taken up all the time we had planned for making the crossing and other work commitments meant we were unable to make the delivery once the yacht was ready.
Working out in St Lucia was often hard work and unpleasant. Working upside down in the bilge of a yacht in forty degrees centigrade is not pleasant. It was however an interesting and rewarding experience.
